Car Crashes into Uncle Jon's Music

We are devastated to report that on Friday, August 22nd, a drunk driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into our beloved music store. The news report about the accident can be found here.
Because of the heavy damage caused by this accident, our store is currently under construction. However, we plan to have a temporary location to operate out of until 33 N. Cass is back on its feet. We will still offer most of our typical services, like repairs, rentals, and lessons. Additionally, our online store is currently still operating. Updates on where we will temporarily work from will come soon.

WESTMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- A vehicle smashed into a music store in suburban Westmont Friday .
Westmont police said the crash occurred at around 12:07 a.m. at Uncle Jon's Music on Cass Avenue.

Police said the driver lost control of their vehicle and crashed into the store, causing heavy damage.
The 20-year-old driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, police said.
The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol (over .08), speeding, improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and damage to village property.
No one was inside the store at the time and no one else was injured.
Store Update
Our store has been proudly serving the community since 2003. Recently, in August, we faced an unexpected challenge when a drunk driver lost control and struck our building. This sudden hardship has prompted us to rally together as a community. Although the building is currently under construction, we have swiftly adapted by relocating to a temporary space across the street at 38 N Cass Ste. B. Here we are able to provide all of the services you are accustomed to including lessons, repairs, rentals, and merchandise!
Community Support
The outpouring of support has been incredible. Many of you have shown kindness through donations, assistance with moving, creating signage, and even organizing music performance events to lift our spirits. Notably, the open mic event organized by local performers generously donated their tips to us, showing tremendous solidarity. Additionally, Uncle Bub's BBQ is kindly donating a portion of their food sales every Thursday in October to support our recovery efforts. Thank you for standing by us during this trying time.
