Uncle Jon’s Music Lesson Policies

Schedule

Private Music Lessons occur once a week at the same day and time and are contracted by monthly subscription, which reserves your time.

Tuition

The lesson fee is $35.00 per half-hour lesson. For a typical 4-lesson month, the total monthly tuition charge is $140. Tuition payments are non-refundable.

Payment

Monthly tuition is to be paid in advance via credit or debit card and will be automatically charged on the first of each month. The first payment is required upon scheduling to reserve your time slot. An invoice detailing scheduled lesson dates for that month will be emailed to you at the beginning of each month.

Attendance

Maintaining a regular schedule is crucial for musical growth. You are expected to attend all of your scheduled lessons.

Student Cancellation

There are no refunds for missed lessons. Students are asked to provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel a scheduled lesson. If you are ill or unable to attend due to an emergency, please contact your teacher. If scheduling permits, they will attempt to reschedule your lesson. Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. If a student cannot attend a scheduled make-up lesson, that lesson will be considered forfeited.

No-shows

If a student misses a lesson without advance notice, they will forfeit that lesson, and no make-up lesson will be offered.

Teacher Cancellation

The instructor may need to reschedule or cancel a lesson due to illness, family emergencies, or performance engagements. In such cases, the teacher will provide a make-up lesson within the month or offer lesson credit towards the following month.

Changing Lesson Schedule

If you need to change your regularly scheduled time or day, please notify your instructor, and they will attempt to find a more suitable time.

Holidays and Store Closures

We will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve (shorter hours), and Christmas Day. If your lesson falls on a day when the store is closed, you will be offered a make-up lesson on a different day or a credit towards the following month. Your teacher will inform you in advance.

Student Showcase

There will be multiple opportunities to participate in our student showcase, with no additional charge to participate. This is a fantastic opportunity to perform and showcase your progress.

Discontinuing Lessons

You may cancel your subscription by emailing us at lessons@unclejonsmusic.com at least 30 days prior to your desired withdrawal date. The remaining lessons in that month will be completed. There are no refunds for withdrawals.
