Date stamp it was built is on the butt end of neck and is Sep 64 with the "A" designation for the neck size, it's the skinny, narrow neck, more rare.
Short scale.
Most 64 Mustangs (first edition of this model for Fender! appear to have been shipped with short scale length necks with "A" neck width, )1-1/2"....
3-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7 oz.
Original single coils with white covers.The pots, caps, switches & wiring are all newer. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Has a couple scratches and dings, can be seen in photos
